How much does pet waste removal cost?
Residential recurring service starts around $23 per week when billed monthly. Use the pricing selector to compare frequency and dog-count options, then request a quote so we can confirm property details and route availability.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. Customers provide safe access and follow the confirmed pet-safety plan for the scheduled visit. We confirm access details before service begins.
Can my dog stay in the yard during service?
Yes. Your dog may remain in the yard during service as long as they have never shown signs of aggression. We love dogs and are happy to work around friendly pets. If a dog begins showing aggressive behavior during a visit, your Shepherd may ask you to bring them inside and secure them before service continues. If an aggressive dog is not properly secured, your Shepherd reserves the right to skip the yard for that visit so both the dog and technician stay safe.
Do you take the dog waste with you?
Yes. The Yard Shepherd hauls the collected waste away after service and disposes of it properly. We do not leave it in your trash bin for you to deal with.
What happens if my gate is locked?
The service area must be safely accessible on your scheduled day. If your gate is locked or there is an access issue, use your customer portal or contact The Yard Shepherd so we can review the service options.
Do you clean equipment between yards?
Yes. Cleanup tools are disinfected between properties using a kennel-grade disinfectant according to labeled directions, helping reduce the risk of carrying contaminants from one yard to another.
What happens when it rains?
Light rain may not change a visit. Severe weather, unsafe conditions, or saturated yards can require a schedule adjustment. We communicate any change before service.
Do you service the entire yard?
Yes. We clean the entire agreed service area, including the main yard, along the sides of the house, and other outdoor areas we confirm with you. Any areas that should be excluded can be identified before service begins.
Do you offer one-time cleanups?
Yes. One-time cleanups are available starting at $59. Pricing depends on the size of the yard and the amount of cleanup required. Request a quote so we can confirm pricing for your property.
Do you have a long-term contract?
No. There are no long-term contracts. You can start or stop recurring service, skip a cleaning when needed, or request an additional cleaning when needed, subject to route availability.
How does billing work?
Residential recurring plans are billed monthly for the selected service frequency. Final pricing and billing details are confirmed before service begins.
What areas do you service?
We now serve select neighborhoods across western Pasco County, including New Port Richey, Trinity, Odessa, Holiday, Port Richey, and nearby communities. Check your ZIP for current availability.
What happens if I need to skip a service?
You can skip a scheduled cleaning when needed or request an additional cleaning, subject to route availability. Use your customer portal or contact The Yard Shepherd so we can review the schedule with you.
How do you protect pets from getting out?
We follow the confirmed pet-safety and access plan for each visit. Friendly dogs may remain in the yard when conditions are safe and they have never shown signs of aggression. Dogs showing aggressive behavior must be properly secured before service continues. The Shepherd also checks the gate before leaving.
Can you clean yards with multiple dogs?
Yes. Pricing starts with the number of dogs and can vary for five or more dogs, initial accumulation, access, or property conditions. We confirm any custom quote before service.
